FACEBOOK MADE IN FRANCE
Each day we spend 50 minutes on average checking our Facebook page. The social platform has undoubtedly become one of the world’s most powerful media. However, following a series of highly publicized scandals, its reputation has been tarnished, particularly in the eyes of the French and its opinion leaders.
IMPROVE FRANCE’S IMAGE OF THE AMERICAN GIANT BY HIGHLIGHTING ITS SUPPORT OF FRENCH INNOVATION
For its first corporate campaign in France, one of the most challenging for Facebook due to growing public concern surrounding the protection of personal data, Facebook chose to address France’s opinion leaders via traditional media.
This campaign, championed by Sheryl Sandberg (n°2 of the company), shone the light on several Facebook commitments: the company will pay its taxes in France, will train 50,000 job-seekers and will continue to support French innovation.
The press and poster campaign served to convey Facebook’s ongoing promise: to contribute to the French economy by supporting French start-ups.
