The Total group, primarily known for its oil activities, has become increasingly committed to solar power, notably through its SunPower subsidiary. In 2018, the group decided to go a step further by launching a project to equip 5,000 of its service stations worldwide with solar panels. Ultimately, 30% of Total’s service stations across the globe will be equipped in this way. This project corresponds to the energy produced by a 125 MW power station, enough to service a city of 125,000 (like Metz).
